WHY THIS LITTLE KID NEEDS $20 BADLY

A woman came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find her 5-year old son waiting for her at the door.

SON: 'Mummy, may I ask you a question?' 

MUM: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the woman. 

SON: 'Mummy, how much do you make an hour?' 

MUM: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the woman said angrily. 

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?' 

MUM: 'If you must know, I make 
 $20 an hour.' 

SON: 'Oh,' the little boy replied, with his head down. 

SON: "Mummy, may I please borrow $5?"

The mother was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.' 

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut 
the door.. 

The woman sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? 

After about an hour or so, the woman had calmed down, and started to think: 

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $5 and he really didn't ask for money very often.The woman went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door. 

'Are you asleep, son?' She asked. 

'No Mummy, I'm awake,' replied the boy. 

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the woman. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $5 you asked for.' 

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you Mummy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. 

The woman saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. 

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his mother. 

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the mother grumbled. 

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied. 

'Mummy, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. 
I would like to have dinner with you.'

The mother was crushed. She put her arms around her little son, and she begged for his forgiveness. 


It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $20 worth of your time with someone you love. 


If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Fighting Mediocrity

The the biggest danger you face isn’t negative people, but the neutral ones.  Like most things in life the biggest evil isn’t some intentionally malicious force – but the threat of mediocrity.  It is the most insidious evil.  
That is the evil that stops you from doing the last set at the gym, the last lap in the pool, the extra hour studying for an exam, or making that little extra effort at the job.  It’s the comfort zone.
Which is really the death zone for someone seeking higher consciousness…
We can get complacent, and figure we have attained something.  Which we have.  But having attained something and resting on it is no different than the people who never tried to attain anything.  Because it is wasted potential.  Apathy.  And mediocrity.
Which is the worst of the worst.  Accepting that which is enough to get by, but not really tapping into your greatness.
So here’s my question for you:  What areas of your life are you accepting mediocrity in right now?  And what is your real potential?

Difference Between Rich and Wealthy

 I have often thought over the past couple of years about the difference between being rich and being wealthy. Is there a difference? If so, what is it? And how do we become wealthy?
It seems to me that there is a big difference between being rich and being wealthy. When I think about someone who is rich, I think about someone with a lot of money. And I typically think about someone who is quite showy with their money. They drive fancy cars and live in a fancy house. They wear fancy clothes and eat at fancy restaurants.
Rich people come into their money in a number of ways. They may inherit it. They may win the lottery. They may earn it in a few short years as a professional ball player or entertainer. Or they may invent a new mousetrap that is worth millions of dollars. Or they may simply earn it over many years as a professional or a business owner.
But doesn't this also describe a wealthy person? Is there really a difference? I believe there is a major difference between rich and wealthy. The difference is in duration. How long does the money last? Will it be gone once the person's earning power is gone? Will it be passed on to future generations?
The difference between a wealthy person and someone who is simply rich is that a wealthy person has sustainable wealth. In other words, a wealthy person will always be wealthy, whereas someone who is merely rich will only be so for a short period of time until the money is gone.
Think about people in history who everyone would consider wealthy, and you can begin to see what I mean. The Rockefellers, Carnegies, and Campbells are all wealthy families. Their wealth has lasted multiple generations. Why is this? What makes them so different from the lottery winner or professional athlete who has money for a short time and then it's gone?
The difference between rich and wealthy is very simple. It's knowledge. Wealthy people know how to make money. Rich people only have money. Once you know how to make money, you can build sustainable wealth. The money never stops coming. If you have a reversal of fortune, it's not a big deal. You just make it back.
Think about Donald Trump. Several years ago, Mr. Trump was deeply in debt. But, oddly, he didn't change his spending habits and didn't go away. Why not? Because Donald Trump understands how to make money. He is a wealthy individual.
There are many examples in history of wealthy people who obtained their wealth through knowledge and valued knowledge more than money. The most obvious one perhaps was King Soloman, king of all of the Israelites. He was extraordinarily wealthy. And he was extraordinarily wise. When he first became king, the prophet came to him and asked what he would ask of God. Solomon asked for wisdom. And throughout Solomon's writings, he lists wisdom and knowledge as the two most important gifts to ask of God. Wisdom and knowledge are what created Solomon's great wealth.
Wisdom and knowledge can create great wealth for anyone who desires it. Last week, a vendor of ours came to me and asked what he could do to create wealth. My immediate response was to learn everything he could about wealth. Once he had the knowledge, then he could begin formulating a strategy and work with a coach to build the wealth. But the knowledge needs to come first. Otherwise, if we do happen to get rich, the money is not likely to last.
I am most grateful to my mother who instilled in me and my siblings an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. This is the greated gift (other than life itself) that my mother gave me. It's this thirst for knowledge that drives me to teach others about wealth and how to attain it. Are You Married to Your Work or to Your Spouse?

 You work long hours, even when you don't have to. You call your office when you are on vacation. Or you probably don't even take vacation at all.
Your best friends--and possibly your only friends--are on the job.
Your whole world evolves around your work. When you talk to your family, it's always about work, work, work. What happened on the job, what project you are working on, etc.
You tend to do nothing outside of work. You have no hobbies, no real friends, there's nothing you feel more passionately about than your job.

If this sounds a lot like you, then you might as well face it, you are married to your job.
Experts point out that there's a number of Americans who have become attached to their job. Their work is their identity. Their work is their life. Their job is all they know and all they do.
JET contacted several experts to find out what makes some people divorce their personal life and marry their jobs, and what they should do to strike a balance between work and home.
Experts point out that they are not talking about a single parent who works two jobs to make ends meet or someone who is making minimum wage and needs to work overtime. They are talking about people who have choices in their work habits, who choose somehow, for some reason, to devote their entire lives to their jobs. They choose money and job travel over spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Harvette Grey, immediate past president of the National Association of Black Psychologists, believes that being married to a job is emotionally unhealthy. "If you are doing a good job on the job, that's good, but to really do a good job, you have to have something other than work. We all want to make money, but not at the expense of relationships."
She points out, "I watch some of my friends who are always checking their job voice mail from home. Even when they are on vacation, their phone rings, and that takes them away from enjoying themselves. But they feel needed. When someone is married to his job, he has control over his destiny. It says, 'Look, all these people from the job depend on me. I am calling the shots."
Dr. Grey, who is also executive director of the Cultural Center at DePaul University in Chicago, notes that the first step to getting that balance is serf-awareness: You must realize that you have married your job and divorced yourself from your personal life. "You have to realize that the job has become the place that you call home and family. That you actually feel guilty when you can't get to work. You are afraid of leaving your job, because this is your family."
You should start developing hobbies, join a fraternity or sorority, become active in church or volunteer in the community. "Develop relationships, connect with people who like to do those things. Go back to the relationships that you may have ignored, like your family and friends. Slowly start do things outside of the job. Take that vacation you have been putting off. Take the kids somewhere. And cut off that cell phone."
Dr. Ronn Elmore, northern California relationship therapist and author of How To Love A Black Man, states: "Become very deliberate about working hard and working well when it's work time, then be willing to put work down and focus just as passionately on the other aspect of your life--especially personal relationships--when it's time for that. Commit to doing so, no matter what. It may mean you run the risk of not becoming quite as rich or famous as you might have by being obsessed with the job, but it helps maintain balance. Otherwise highly productive people can become miserable, lonely, highly productive people."
Emphasizing the importance of striking a balance with your professional and personal lives, Dr. Grey quotes Anna Quindlen's inspirational best-seller, A Short Guide To A Happy Life. "I like what Quindlen says: "'Don't ever confuse the two, your life and your work ... The second is only a part of the first ... Get a life. A real life.'"

This is the essence of leveraging whether it is for time, money, enthusiasm, etc.
Search for companies that offer leveraged-incomes and compensation plans that pay a minimum of $900 per sale. If the commission isn't jaw-dropping, why bother?
Would it be difficult to find one person a month to join you in a program like this? Just one per month who might be interested in learning about leveraged-income and enjoy more leisure time while controlling his/her own paycheck?
Fact: Do you know what happens when you double a penny every day for a month? At the 15 day mark, it's grown to $163.84. But by the 30th day, it's mushroomed to OVER 5 MILLION dollars!
Business entrepreneurs see the big picture and aim for financial security. Building assets from which their money will come in month after month, year after year from work he is doing today!.

Forget About The Losers-Focus On The Winners!

I got an audio postcard today from my mentor, Daegan Smith. He was answering the question from a woman who was not getting any results passing out business cards and talking to people about her business.
We have definitely all been there…at least I have!
After his explanation of why she is not getting the results she so desires, he told her to think about WHY she joined that business and what interested her. Her job at this point is to locate people with those same interests.
From there, he told her to:
“forget about the losers who are not interested and focus on the winners who are!”
If you are also still wondering why things aren’t picking up for you or why nobody seems interested in what you have to offer, think about the same idea of locating people who want and are interested in what you have.
At that point, you won’t be able to slow down the flood of people wanting to join you!

The Positivity Fast

This morning, I woke up with an idea. And that idea was to create a way for me to work on changing my thoughts to being more consistent in thinking and doing positive things.
As a result, I decided to do a Positivity Fast!

For the next 5 days, I will be keeping track of all the times that I think a negative thought like “maybe that’s not possible” or “I can’t stand that”, etc. At the end of the 5 days I will tally up the number of times I “slipped” and be able to have a better grasp of how much time I spend thinking in the positive direction versus the negative direction.
Now here is the cool part..
I shared this concept with my friends on twitter and Facebook and boy did it pick up some momentum. In fact, my friend Tomiwa has termed us the “Circle of Positivity”..thanks Man!
So I invite you to join this circle. All you have to do is follow the guideline I set above, be true to yourself and keep accurate track of your results. Only you will know if you’re being honest with yourself..

A couple of weeks ago, one of my Team Player got a call from a friend  in the network marketing industry who also happens to be a top producer. He liked some things she was doing and wanted to basically say “awesome job”. As they talking, he mentioned he would like her help on something and guess what…She needed his help on something too! That’s called a mutually beneficial relationship!! So they agreed and shook on it. In that conversation he shared some things with her and She realized She had some inefficiencies in her process that I needed to tweak. He told her what to do and she implemented what he said immediately.

Nothing Ventured..Well That’s Shame On You!

It amazes me how people know that they need to make a change, but almost refuse to in the same breath. But you, as the professional must remember at all times this…
The world programs us all to be cows, not rhinos.

So now that you are a rhino in the jungle, and you meet another cow, you must always remember that and know, the mind didn’t get that way overnight, and you and your awesome business won’t get it the other way overnight either! :)
One thing my mom always taught me was to go for it…to just do it..to do whatever you want to do, no matter what. She taught me that nothing ventured is nothing gained. And all I can say is I am so grateful for that programming. And I urge each one of you do practice the same. But, if you are so happy where you are, that progress and development is not necessary, then stay where you are. That choice is up to you!
However, despite those teaching and beliefs, I want you as marketers, whether online or offline to know, that people will not join you until they are ready. Do not force, do not beg, do not even “handle objections” in a loose sense. See when you do those things, people see you as being in opposition of them, and that is never a position you want to be in.
You want to always be a team player and you want them to see you as that as well. Let them observe you, which means you must be working the business actively. Let them see and hear from those you have helped along the way, and that means you must be actively working the business. Let them see that you don’t NEED them, but to do that you must be actively working the business.
So to wrap this up, be sure of what you do, be sure of who you are and be sure of who you’re looking for. With those energies floating around you all day, when the time is right, that person will join! Until then, keep it movin and keep prospecting!

Why Network Marketing Simply Will Not and Can Not Work For You!

Mental Exercise: Take a moment and imagine your life without that stupid boss. What about with that new 10,000 sq ft home you’ve always wanted but just could never seem to get? What if vacationing was an aspect of life you didn’t miss out on and lack of money was no longer an issue for your family?

These are some of the reasons that hundreds of thousands of people all over the world look to joining the Network Marketing Industry. Our industry legitimately provides a way for an average person to start a business, with minimum investment and risk, and mold it into a multi-million dollar enterprise…if so desired. But there currently seems to be a plague on network marketing, doesn’t it?
I mean everyone you talk to about it thinks that it is a scam or some sort of get rich quick scheme. You find yourself begging and even dishing out cash to entice your friend or family member to come to the meeting. You work so hard with trying to coordinate the schedule of your upline leader with that of your prospect so that “someone who really knows the business” can explain it to your potential team member. And then something happens. You get trampled on, rejected and tossed out on the street with no new sign-ups. So you ask yourself, “how is it that I could see the opportunity and no-body else can.” Heck, after all of that, you resort to the mindset of maybe this just isn’t for you. Now the sad part about this is that somewhere in the process, you lose sight of your dreams of working from home, spending more time with your family and buying anything you want anytime. You slowly begin to join the long list naysayers who “told you” that network marketing doesn’t work and then it’s over.
But why didn’t it work? You have to understand that it was not your fault. See, it didn’t work because you were never set up with the right tools and strategy to begin with. You were given a welcome kit and told to set up your first home meeting and invite all your friends and family. You were instructed to buy the marketing materials provided by the company and share them with people everywhere you go. You saw the people making 6 figures a minute and thought that you could do it the way they did it, no problem. Ah ha! But that is the problem, with traditional network marketing that is.
Allow me to share with you how to make it work. You and I both know that it can certainly be done. If it were impossible, all those people on the stage wouldn’t even be there. So, what is it that you are missing? What is it that the heavy-hitters know and have that you don’t? Well the answer is so simple that you’re not even going to get it the first time. A system! I’ll say it again for you. Multi-million dollar earners have a duplicable system that works based on metrics, not on chance. Now do you see why you simply will not succeed using the system your upline tells you? THEY are succeeding, but YOU are not. It’s because you are trying to plug into a system where only the strong survive, where the outgoing personality gets all the leads and the one who can present is adored.

No Offense, But if You Are Color Blind, Prospecting Will Kill You!

I know, you are probably wondering what being color blind has to do with being successful at prospecting. Well for your information, it is CRITICAL to your success in the network marketing industry.
You may have heard before that there are different personality types. And as a network marketer, YOU must be aware of them and be able to identify them quickly in order to make your prospecting phone time a highly converting time period where you sign up more distributors.

So here are the four colors of that you must learn and master. Once you do that, closing sales will be a cinch!
Yellow: Your yellow prospect is very open and indirect. That means if you ask them a question they at least will give you the answer, but are not likely to elaborate. They will give you what you ask for and not much more. In other words short and to the point. Yellows tend to be teachers, nurses, care-takers, etc. People who are very helpful and concerned with others. What makes the group happy is what makes them happy.
Blue: Your blue prospect is very open as well but is direct. This person will give you what you ask and a whole lot more. Your blue is very talkative and loves to have fun. They enjoy being the life of the party and are open to trying anything at least once. Blues will be your entertaining people and those who are less likely to be selfish.
Green: Greens are Closed and Indirect. That means that if you ask a green a question, they may not even really want to answer it, and even if they do, you won’t get much more from them. These are your analytical and numbers oriented people. Accountant, engineers, computer geeks and the like will most likely fit this category.
Red: Reds are closed and direct. Now your reds are special. These peeps are self-centered and will let you know how well they have done and how much money they have made right out the gate. A red is generally selfish and may know how to do something but can’t always show others how to. They are more likely to believe they were born with “it” than to try to understand where and how they learned it so they can show others how they can have the great success they have had. Reds would be your CEO’s, your successful salesman, and your cocky egomaniacs (sorry reds, that’s just who you are..but I still love you).
So as you can see, not everyone you talk to on the phone will lay down and be easy. Some you will have to pull info out of (yellow), some you will have to take back control of the conversation (blue), some will want to research and research and research some more (green), and some will try to tell you how great they are so much that you have to remember they opted into YOUR site because they just might not know it all (red).
I want you to keep in mind that we all have a very unique mix of these colors, but when propsecting, you are looking for the dominant color. In fact, I suggest you determine which color you are right now, and be honest with yourself. You will find that you will attract more of yourself. If you are not happy with the types of people you are attracting, reflect on self..you are most likely just like who your are attracting!
So, get good at identifying and matching your prospect’s color and watch your sales and sign ups go through the roof. I know, because once I implemented this skill, my numbers shot right up the leaderboards!
